Farmer's daughter makes massive strides in service

By Tan Yingzi (China Daily) Updated: 2015-11-30 08:00

The IPO proceeds will be used to "fund expansion plans, brand promotion and enhancing corporate governance standards", the company said in a statement.

The group has a major presence in China, especially in the south of the country. But Hu said: "We are looking at the opportunities to expand our business in foreign countries, including Australia."

To promote the brand's image, TTC will open several flagship stores in Sydney and Melbourne in the near future. At present, she believes the franchise model is better suited to the overseas market.

"I welcome partners from all over the world to join us."

In Chongqing's foot massage industry, Hu is known as "Dasao", Chinese for sister-in-law. Such respect is the result of both her hard work and generosity.

Making centuries-old traditional Chinese healthcare methods nationally and globally popular is no mean achievement for a poor farmer's daughter.
